Cambrils and Salou are two of the most outstanding towns on the Costa Dorada, along with La Pineda (Vila-Seca). Neighbouring towns and very close to Port Aventura World, one of the main tourist and holiday attractions in the area. Salou, capital of the Costa Dorada
Salou is a place especially known by tourists from all over the world. It started in the nineteenth century and since then it is a reference for European tourism. In recent years it has positioned itself as a Family Tourism destination, a pioneer in Catalonia and even certified as such. In addition, the Catalan Tourism Agency has also classified it as a Sports Tourism Destination.
Its promenade is the epicentre of tourist activity and connects the port with the Luminous Fountain. Beyond you can reach the coastal walk “Camino de Ronda”, which borders the cliffs and connects Salou with the Cape of Salou and the lighthouse. Further the sea and sand, the village has wide streets and several historical monuments such as “La Torre Vella”, very close to the old train station.
